Chargehand Forester / Aborist C3

You will be required to supervise and motivate a team as allocated, to undertake all aspects of practical arboricultural and forestry work to the highest industry standards. You will be expected to have thorough experience of working in a practical aboricultural / forestry environment, together with NPTC certificates CS30 through to CS48. A full, clean HGV C1+E driving licence and experience in the use of forestry related plant and equipment is essential, together with knowledge of how LOLER applies to the post, plus knowledge of protected species.

Forester / Aborists – 6 posts – B3

You will be required to have working experience in a practical arboricultural / forestry environment, together with NPTC Certificates CS30 through to CS48. A full, clean, driving licence and experience in the use of forestry related plant and equipment is essential, together with knowledge of how LOLER applies to the post, plus knowledge of protected species. Applicants for these 6 posts must be over the age of 18 years to comply with legislation relating to the use of chainsaws.

Work for both posts will be outside in all weathers and will include all aspects of arboricultural and foretry maintenance. All postholders must be prepared to take part in the Forerstry section’s 24/7 365 days per year Tree Emergency On-Call Rota system. This is to repond to and undertake emergency tree works across Leeds City boundaries, for which an on-call payment plus overtime will be paid in addition to the stated salary.
